Oil in intake boot.

I just replaced the TPS on my 84 and found oil in the boot and throttle body. Is this something I need to be worried about?

IIRC, it's caused by the seals on the oil/air seperator and oil fill tube having gone bad.

it's not a good thing, but I don't think it's an URGENT fix. it's easy to fix tho.

Are you using a KnN filter by any chance??? I have seen these things spray oil ALL OVER the tubing/boot before. I have also seen it burn up the element in MAF sensors a few times.

Part Numbers are:

999.701.661.40 for the top seal
999.701.613.40 for the bottom.

I just picked them up from Paragon for about $12.

Cheap repairs are great!
