I don't know. I assume the car, but the guy was probably shocked this little girl was driving a Turbo Porsche. That would be my guess.

I had some dick bag in a lame Impala right on my *** a few weeks ago. Looked like a high school kid. I couldn't tell if he was trying to be a jerk or trying to see what the car was. I took a turn really fast and he backed off after that.

Other than that I get some glances once in a while.

that's not why i re-done the front of my car. but with the retro-modded front, now, i come out of walmart and there's people standing around it trying to figure out just what in the hell it is.

i used to get a lot of attention...in these two forms:

aww, what couldn't afford a 911
or
it's not a real porsche.

teens loved the car, especially when i told em that cost to purchase was usually cheaper than a honda accord with 150k on it. some of my older friends liked it b/c they remembered the 944 in the 80's and how great it handled

I get more stares in the Guards red 951 than the Garnet 944...especially from women. It must be the "Jake complex'.....16 Candles. Probably because that shade of red is about twice as bright as every other car...

Got my first bit of attention today. I was parked in front of my house. I live next door to a burger place. I started up the car to roll it around back to my garage and the woman at the grill in the burger place (it's a very, VERY small place) turned around with a look of surprise and amusement when she heard the noise from my car. I just grinned and drove down my lane.

I get a lot of attention. People come up to me at gas stations, or in parking lots. They say they remember them when they were kids or in college and that they always wanted one. I tell them what a great car it is and how affordable, really.

I get comments in about Cayenne, too. Mostly, "Is that really a Porsche? I didn't know they made an SUV." and "I love that Cayenne!".

I don't seem to get much attention in the 944, (3 or 4 times per year) however I do get noticed allot when I am driving my 1962 TR4 or my 1973 TR6. People seem to really dig old British Roadsters.

Default What would they say?

Only from little kids (Guards Red) and guys who remember '80's cars. I think most assume it's a Toyota or something. One teenager asked if it was the new Ford. After that, it was selective hearing mode for me.
