hmph...well at least you've got more leeway than me...have you cut down the support braces above the intake? that might fix your problem (there are cross braces on the inside of the hood that can be bent/cut out of the way to give you some more room)

And I'm another one looking for a "power bulge" for my 5.3l swap. Here's one I've seen:

The other option I was thinking about is to buy one of these Ford F150 steel hoods, cut out the cowl, cut out the corresponding section on the factory 944 hood, and weld it together.

i really like that first one, but i have a feeling theres a lot of body filler in there to smooth it out...not a bad idea to cut out a scoop from another hood though, i'll think about that.
I'm considering making my own, shouldn't be too hard since i have a very competent welder at my disposal...hehe

Here is the pics I found on my workstation, only car with a scoop. It sort of looks like your selection. I have some more pics on my server, but it will take a while to scan those, my server is about as fast as a Yugo. I'll have to PM a beautiful pic of Heidi Klum, which is form fitting and enticing from the front and rear, and I don't think mounting would be a problem, but I think finding the correct vendor might be very difficult.
