Post New Paint Pictures

Just some random pics Terry sent of the paint job. I've got several others of the prep work that were never posted. Doors and mirrors still need to be painted but the hood, sunroof, bumpers, splitter etc. are all done and ready to be installed.

No pics will do the color justice. It's very reflective and will shift colors (definitely not in a Karmeleon way) as the light changes.

Who needs SS door sills when you've got Arena Red?

Cool. Very "wet" looking! Is Arena red slightly darker than Guards, but not quite maroon??

Nice color. Just curious, what was the previous color?

Original color: Garnet (very close but more 80's looking)
PO painted it multiple times (not so successfully) Guards. I wanted to go back somewhat original but with a more modern paint thus the reason for Arena.

I may have the only Arena turbo around. Anyone else see one?

Looks awesome. What time did Terry stay there till. I know you are ready to get that thing back on the road. Maybe I will see you this weekend. Let me know what is going on.

Instead of rushing it and maybe making a mistake we decided to slow down and do it right.

What paint are you using? I take it from "spraying color" your using base/clear - what brand?

I am trying to decide between single stage or base/clear,,maybe even a single stage urethane that you can clear. House of Kolor has a "blackest of German blacks" that is single stage but also make a clear for extra gloss and protection. I'm sure others do,,and I thought about Imron.

BTW, I will be at the Holiday Inn in Covington for meetings from Sunday night until Wednesday around noon, would love to see the car. email me if interested in showing it at Terrys shop.

Base/Clear. Terry curses me for choosing a base/clear with so much pearl content so I'd have to say that single stage must be much much easier.
