ELLSSUU: I feel inspired. Mine was originally Graphite Met., but the PO had it redone in black, and not a good job. I was going to make it a priority to repaint it, but it's so much fun to drive, I can't bring myself to take it out of service that long. Anyway, good job, and great color !

Is it going to have a gold interior, Mr LSU Tiger? Kinda close to purple. I'm sure that doesn't bother you

Hey guys thanks for the compliments. I absolutely love the color. The pic gives you another perspective as it was taken outside as the sun was going down. Now to save up again and get the rims polished.
I've got a few others but Rennlist seems to be stopping me from posting them. I'll try to update it again in a little while.

Race Car
Scott, man that's one hot car.......
Seriously, that was my favorite shot so far, like I said my camera was acting up or something in those first pics you posted making the image fuzzy. Or it could have been me moving involuntarily due to a long day of breathing paint fumes.......
Either way the color change on curved sufaces show up very well in that shot.
Ski, Covington eh..? What, a fourth lister in one place in Louisiana at one time....? I don't know, may cause some type of time warp anomoly or some similar catastrophic event of biblical proportion...
BTW: Dupont base and reducer, R&M Diamond clear.
The key to this color is the sealer coat which in this case is white, it's how you achieve the brilliance because like Guards red the color is somewhat translucent and that's why you see people with Guards cars with varying shades.
To Scott's credit, I didn't choose the color. I sent him an envelope with several paint chips in the mail after he narrowed it down to a few possibilities. He called the next day and was set on Arena Red. This paint contains huge amounts of several shades of pearl powder ranging from blue-red. I know because I mixed it myself.....
Ringo951, Yeah dude you cut out too early on us, but then again it wasn't your car being sprayed... (yet) I'm undecided as of yet about the weekend. I had to use a day on Scotts car that I should have been working on transmissions (or Dan's head obviously) so I may take off the weekend and rest a bit. I'll shoot you an email and let you know either way.
Dan, I can send the head to Anderson's if he'd rather finish it himself or if I am holding up progress on the engine. If you like I could send a much lower mileage head that's never even been disassembled. Your call. The last time I heard from you was nearly a month ago, how's the engine coming....?

Nordschleife Master
Terry,
The engine is done! I need my head shipped to Anderson's so he can finish up. How much more time do you need? You have had the head since late August if I remember correctly. I have been emailing you like crazy since we last spoke. I would like a head with the service that I paid you to do (ported). Email me off the list to discuss this.

No time warp but I will have the 4 yr old with me so band everything down!!!
Question on the sealer. ONe thing I have been disappointed in the black of my car has been the use of the white sealer,,,what do you think a gray sealer would do with black? The finish will be House of Kolor Urethane Enamel or Dupont Imron, with their sealer products, probably with clear on top of the finish(that I haven't made my mind up on).
But a stone chip on black with white sealer is a PITA!
