Proud is a big word, but I love the car and the process and time seems all worth it in the end, although half way i did have my doubts. I think we all share that passion deep down, no matter if you're keeping your car up for regular use or building it for tracking.

Great fun and great community.

I assume the speedo in the vid is in kph rather than mph? Fantastic car and seems very well balanced.

The section in the video at the end of the back straight (1:20 - ) looks like fantastic fun! Also, so does the car!

This is Thailand s latest new track, it is indeed good fun. Only drawback is (very) limited runoff but that keeps it exciting.....

The car handles well (at least it seems to me), she's a bit loose in the rear after the apex but we havent done any real setup work yet. Still getting to know the car.

Great fun...

Few updates, most noticeable update on the car is some new sticker/wrapping to prepare for Thailands most popular racing event, the annual "Bansaen Speed Festival" held on a street circuit build for a week in the beach side village of BanSaen http://www.hatbangsaen.com/Speedfest...dprix2009.html

So now she looks good, but underneath it all we still have things to sort

My LSD, went to gear heaven after the last outing so we took out the 968 gearbox and put back the original 5 speeder without LSD while the 6 speeder will get its new Kaaz 45/90 LSD and the close ratio gearset for 3, 4, 5 and 6th gear. This will bring theoretical top speed down from 270kmh/166mph to something like 220kmh/135mph. I might finally be able to use the 6th gear !!! Yeah.

new versus old ratios

3rd 1.526 vs 1.435
4th 1.227 vs 1.111
5th 1.042 vs 0.912
6th 0.893 vs 0.778

cant wait to try that.

Then finally, after the Bansaen race we will start work on installing the freshly rebuild spare S2 engine with new drive gear from Jeff and the Rotrex C38/71 supercharger, combined with the original 951 intercooler

Will keep you posted.

Henk

lightweight fenders and bumper have arrived and that should go on roughly the same time as the engine work starts

New chapter coming, after reading the tread from Michael with his 330hp NA engine, i started to have restless nights. So we're on! let's see how that NA will do in this car. In the meantime will run a fresh S2 engine with supercharger going on in December. Will keep you all posted.
