There's a lot of things that could possibly be bad about it.

If you want to buy a car of unknown condition and soundness from a proven blatant liar, knock yourself out.

I, however, will steer clear.

ifyou want a project, buy a car that you may have a slim chance of reselling. that do has been discussed ad nauseum on this site. there is no way someone can have 25k into a NA that was not a wreck to start with.

you can buy a real clean 944 for 5k all over the place here. a car that will get you some of your money when you want to move on. a frankencar is a franken car, and will always be worth bubkus. good luck.

Oh, remember these words "the most expensive porsche is usually the one that was cheapest to buy, and the least expensive porsche is usually the one that cost the most to buy".

look at the tread about the 1500 944 about to cost 6000.

He claimed that it was "mint" and that it was serviced in January, with absolutely no problems. However he also claimed that it was a Turbo, and also claimed the car used to belong to his son who died in Iraq, which was pretty much disproven by the cardomain ad. Unless he bought it from that ad, for his son. But it was the same pictures, so highly unlikely. Thanks everyone, I think I'll steer clear of this one...

This car is really familiar.
I am pretty sure the guy who built the car was on RL or Pelican.

But yes, not a turbo.

Ok after looking around I am fairly certain Pelican member VT944 did it.
Viper Blue.
But - the pics aren't up any more so we can't see the paint progress that was up back then.
It was done back in 03.

Any idea on the condition? Engine mods, accidents, transmission problems, anything?

Also, those pictures were taken in March of 2004 so you are looking at 5 year old pics.

Never mind, the Autotrader listing is gone, so I'm assuming it was sold. I would prefer a stock one anyway...

Shirley, you're not serious.

There pretty much isn't an upper limit to what you can spend on any car. It just depends what you do to it. Take the nicest N/A on the planet, and I'll find 25k worth of stuff that could make it nicer.

Ultimately, a frankencar is worth what someone will pay for it. If it's held together with chewing gum and baling wire, it's worth the price of the gum and wire.

If all that stuff is improvements and not just patches, then there are plenty of people who aren't stock fetishists, and will value it based on how it looks, feels, and runs.

no, i am totally serious. To put 25k into a NA there had better be a list a lot longer than the one there, and the owner needs to be committed.

Look at the pictures, and add up the parts. then tell me how you come up with 25k please.
