Default FS: 944 NA Autothority chip + some other early stuff

I have this because I thought I would try tuning my NA engine; upon switching paths to the supercharger project these chips no longer will work for my application. I have not used these at all.

Autothority Performance Chip, $100 shipped. Sells new for $395. This is for any 85.5-87 DME.
According to the Autothority site, this will add 14HP (http://www.autothority.com/product_i...roducts_id=431) and I have read online that it increases the redline by about 300RPM. Autothority recommends 92 octane or better for this chip.
Contrary to the note on the Autothority site, this chip simply presses into the DME board. A detailed instruction set is available on Lindsey Racing's site, albeit their writeup is for a turbo it is the same procedure.
(Writeup: http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/CHIPCHANGE.html)

In addition I have an atticful of spare parts for early cars. I have 2 spare DMEs, a few working sunroof motors, ignition coils, headlight motors, lots of hardware, some interior parts (in brown), 23mm/14mm swaybars and mountings, stock spings, etc. Just let me know what you're looking for and I'll see if I have it.

Don't you have an early? How would these have worked for you, anyway?

You can get an 85.5 DME and use it with an early, if I remember correctly.

I have an early car and am still looking for a cheap late DME. These would not have worked on my early computers, which is why I have not used them, obviously.

I was playing with the idea for a while of building the NA motor a bit and trying to get more out of it but I am now almost ready to install the Eaton M90 that is sitting in my garage. These chips would not work well in conjunction with the supercharger as the chips are programmed for too much spark advance for a high-compression SC'd engine.

From the looks of the chip it looks like it just presses into the board rather than being soldered in.

Lindsey racing has a detailed writeup of replacing chips on a turbo car and I'd assume that the process is the same. They show a picture of the chip before it is put in and it has the same "feet" as this chip.

That's 100% correct, I have this same chip installed in my 86. I did notice the difference from stock and my wallet did too during the gas price hikes(using 91 all the time). At Spencer's price of $100 bucks, I think it's worth it.

around here in riverside premium is about 2.30-ish, how is it on the coast?
