ETA- those top pieces don't look homemade... where did you get them? If you don't mind, how much did they cost you total?

Spencer, the whole car sits on a few bolts at the bottom of the shocks and struts, no reason those wouldn't hold the engine.

i guess id have to see and feel one in person. sometimes you just look at things and go "no way". but im guessing thats the same style mount that youd get from a renegade kit so it should be fine.

the motor mounts were actually completely free to me (everything was gifted to me by friends pretty much)
the upper mount is this (or something very similar)

A friend who has one of these cars (an 86 944t with a built 383 lt4) gave me the upper mounts because he had an extra set, the tubing and plate my welder had already...free is good!
Ethan
p.s. Spencer, the motor mounts weight like 3 pounds a piece, they're BEEFY! The upright tube is 1 1/2 inch O.D. and i think it's 1/4 inch thick. The upper piece is about 3 inches long and about an inch O.D. and it's 1/4 inch thick, and the plate is 1/4 inch thick...they will stand up to anything...

a 1-1/2 x 1/4" tube you could use to tow the whole car...lol

i picked up a renegade setup off of ebay. Uses the renegade bellhousing, with the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel all from them, as well as a new master and slave cylinder. I honestly don't know much more than that other than it's a pin style clutch fork/throwout bearing and that the master bolts up to the stock position on the firewall

well, for this swap, neither will the injection...woo hoo i get to cut a hole in my hood!
to Whisper, i bought an ecu and a harness (pulled the harness from a junked caprice). Wiring is really something i have no idea how to do, hopefully i can get some help with it, or the factory manuals will help me figure it out. The ecu is going to need a tune, but it's going to wait until i have money/time
Pertaining to the comment about carbs not fitting and fuel injection fitting...it depends on the car, it truly does. Some will shim crossmembers and cut oil pans really shallow and still have hood problems (like myself, except i said screw it and didn't shim the crossmember and left the pan relatively deep) Other cars don't need a shallow pan or a shimmed crossmember, the thing will just drop in and the hood will close nicely...
