Snubbed front bumper - how do you get the bumper bolts out?
So I snubbed my front bumper. Not by choice. Fortunately, that's all that happened other than a couple small dents in the header panel, which I planned on replacing anyway (turbo header on an N/A - it's making my OCD hurt).
The problem now is that the holes in the bumper for accessing the bumper bolts is way too far back to get a socket and extension to. Yeah...I'm probably going to just hook it up to a tree and pull it out. But how are your snubbers doing this?
Also, I'm in the market for some bumper shocks. And an N/A header panel in any color as long as its in decent shape.

Now I have to make up some sort of contraption to pull them back out again as a temporary fix.

I know they're useless - at least as useless as if they were already snubbed. They are also over $120 a piece new. I'll wait around and find some off of a parts car.
Turn out they are still pretty tough to move in either direction, even after being compressed. Some 2.5 lb sledge love on them while in a vice got them back to where they should be. I still want to find some decent used ones in case I have another stupid morning.

I just realized I spend as much time posting and drinking beer as it took to do this job, based on the post times.
The fridge and laptop in the garage are really time killers.

I have lots of bumper shocks in good shape, $20/pair plus shipping. Email me at APartAbove@aol.com if you're interested. As for pulling the bumper out, I would try a come along attached to a tree or a winch, something with a little more control than just backing up with the front end attached to a chain/tree. Just my 2 cents.
