Default E-Bay Harness Bar pictures

Well I have mentioned it in a couple of threads regarding harness guide bars but I never included any pictures.

I was home this weekend from school so I took a few.

For $154 to my door you cant beat it.

Lowers probably mount to the same point as the floor for the standard 3 pts, at least that would be the place to use without having to drill/tap/weld.

Correct. The bar mounts at the shoulder belt thing and the lap belt thing. Sorry for my car being a mess, my mom didn't appreciate my seats taking up our mudroom so she put them in there haha.

I bought this same bar last year. It is very sturdy and well manufactured.

How is the fit and finish? I have seen these on ebay before but wasn't sure if anyone had actually bought one.

I am just curious. Do you plan to drive the car on the street/track with the 4 points? Does the car have a full roll cage? If so, do you plan to wear a helmet when driving on the street if you plan to street the car?

The reason I ask is this.

If you wear 4 points and the car flips, they keep you nice and upright in the seat.

If you don't have a cage, the roof will come up/down on you, and being strapped so securely in with 4pt harnesses you will basically be squished.

If you DO have a cage, and you are not wearing a helmet, think of how much fun all that metal tubing would be in a crash with your head bouncing off of it, yes, of course you would have your 4 pt harness on, but what if you decide it is a bit much trouble for a quick run to 7/11?

I'm not trying to be negative about your car, harnesses or anything. I just want to make sure we are all safe.

Of course, all this is negated if you retain and use the factory seatbelts though I am not sure how well they work with race buckets.

Colin, the fit and finish is pretty good for what you pay. I gave the guy a drawing so he could make the loops how i wanted.

I plan to have the bar in on the street, although I will be using the factory seatbelts. I'll be using 6pt harnesses for the track. I don't have any rollbar or rollcage.

I'm no expert, but they will more than likely NOT let you run harnesses with out a roll cage. For the same reason I told you before about being crushed in the event of a roll over.

If you are going so far as to put the harness bar in, the seats and the harness itself, why not go the extra mile and add a bolt in roll cage?
