My search skills must be on the fritz, I know this has come up before with pictures.
I want to move the air filter in my 944S under the header panel.
I don't care about the performance, or the noise or any of the normal reasons. I just want to move it, ok? Humor me.
Does any vendor offer such a kit or am I making my own?
Thanks!!

Someone did this ...and I cannot remember who. But I do recall they used some simple plumbing and attached it a cone filter and stuck it under there.
But I did come across the post where campeck routed his intake to the fender well. Maybe it will give you some ideas.

It's in the way ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Eight years ago when my 944S was running - before it tossed up a rod bearing - I was going to install an accusump there. Now that I'm hopefully going to get my 944S back on the road by spring, I still want to put an accusump there.
I know I know, an accusump is not necessary unless you do extreme track use. Which is why my street driven, autrossed twice, 944S threw up a rod bearing.
I'm also moving the stock oil cooler up front. Why? I have a nice, brand new Motul oil cooler collecting dust in my garage and I hate the stock cooler. Also, after a rod bearing failure I should replace the oil cooler. The OEM unit is way too expensive compared to an external one.

Excellent - I have enough left over parts from my supercharger to copy that setup. Does the S have the same hole you used to run the pipe? What diameter is it?
Does the header panel on the S just bolt on?
