Default Kansas City - 944 Racing Interest Meeting

To: Those interested in racing or tracking 944 and 924s model Porsches whether it is PCA, SCCA, NASA, etc. members, racers or volunteers.

Purpose: This meeting and introduction is to gather current and future 944 racers and supporters in the Kansas City region.

Scope: We will discuss 944 racing and information on the various racing series. We will discuss costs and level of efforts to build competitive cars, how to get into racing itself and there will be numerous 944 Spec cars in various stages of builds in attendance for those to inspect and “kick” the tires.

Venue: This meeting will be hosted at Underground Autosport – a local Kansas City shop who is instrumental in helping develop 944 racing series for PCA Club Racing, NASA’s 944-Spec.org, 944 Cup, and SCCA IT or Production racing series.

You are welcome to come out and join us. However looking at the location listed below your avatar "Location: Gateway to the west (formerly Rhode Island)" - that is one heck uva drive.

Rhode Island is my home state. I currently live in about 45 min west of St Louis, MO aka: gateway to the west. It'll only be a 3 hour drive across the state.

Be aware, we are right in the middle of putting up new walls and expanding the shop, so you will have to excuse our mess! Yesterday I was able to get some pallet racking up and stuff off the floors, and part of the walls and ceiling painted. Its been fun waiting on wall hardware to come in, lol.

We will make use of the finished portion, lol.

I maybe stopping by sometime tomorrow to help out some and Sunday morning for sure. I'm in the middle of a house project - adding windows to existing garage doors to let some natural light in.

I've got patients until about 11:30 tomorrow, so i'll be down there around noon 30. I think Chris and Wes are working elsewhere tomorrow. I've got to pull a tranny out of a boxster, so I will be stuck on that, but come on down!

Thanks! We are really excited about getting the Brumos car going, though it will only be a DE car. We have plenty of cars waiting to be built for spec cars, just need to find them some owners first
