Default oh no I think I blew up my engine (no oil pressure)

As you guys may know, I just finished with the stripped torque tube ordeal and new clutch in my car.

today I go and start my car and let it idle for 5 minutes like usual and when I come back i notice the car sounds different and there is no oil pressure at all showing on the dash. I just raised the car and checked teh tightness of the oil pressure pump bolt and it is tight.

oil is also filled up. for some reason it kind of looks like it is overfilled? it wasn't maybe it is the angle of the garage.

also I'm running mobil 1 15w50 and kN oil filter.

looks like i may have a bad engine bearing???

if I do this looks like the sad end of my 944..... I've spent so much money and time on it and can't believe this would happen.

I just finished putting a new timing / balance belt on it also and I have kept up all the maintenance on it and it has 259,000 kms on it......

why would you still be running 15w50 in it?? that is too thick for winter temps.

it's above freezing here so that should be fine.

I live in the van area it doesn't get cold here.

anyways, I'm feeling like **** right now less than a month after I replace my clutch and torque tube and spend close to 3 grand fixing it now I lose oil pressure.

oil pressure is 0 on start up and nothing happens when I rev it a tiny bit I shut it off and I didn't hear any knocking or anything but engine didn't sound normal.

also last night I drove it home and parked it and it was fine weird how it would suddenly loose oil pressure today when I go to start it up.

yesterday I did notice on idle the oil pressure was a tiny bit lower than usual. it would idle at aroudn 1.8 and when I reved it it would go up to about 4.2 which is still normal...

what would cause my zero oil pressure? when oil is full and oil pump bolt it tight I checked it to 160 ft-lbs.

would a bad bearing cause zero oil pressure?

oil pressure relief valve?? I thought oil pressure relief valve would cause high oil pressure not zero.

possibly I have a clogged oil pick up screen or cracked oil pick up tube.

"should be fine" LOL

if you spun a bearing you would hear it would sound like a diesel tractor.

the pickup tube wouldnt crack on its own, it usually cracks when its installed wrong.

What about a faulty guage or pressure sender? Loose wire? Bad ground?

well the engine does sound different

but it's kind of odd how it still had okay oil pressure yesterday after an hour drive home and freeway driving.

then when I start it this morning it has zero pressure.

oil pressure sender is new and teh wires are on tight i just checked.

the engine doesn't sound too happy to me, no loud kocking noises or anything but it does seem louder but I didn't notice it until I came back had let the car warm up to get in my car to drive and noticed the oil pressure guage showing zero.

if there is something major wrong with the car this time it's going to be a parts car...... i've lost way too much money. i'm going to buy a brand new car with a warranty.

I seem to have bad luck, 2 big breakdowns in a couple months......

check the crank bolt again with a torque wrench, it can feel tight by hand but still be too loose for the oil pump to function properly.

Of course it's going to sound different there's no lubrication.

does the oil pressure sensor have a fuse or something ? I played around with the fuses yesterday. My headlight high beam would only come on the driver side so I took out some fuses and swithced them around.

drain the oil and see if there are metal shavings on the drain plug or is the oil is nice and shiney.

then refill with mobil 1 delvac 0w40. put a new filter on. is the idle normal or weak?

I checked it with a torque wrench.... It was tight to 160 ftlbs. I locked the flywheel and tried tightening it.

I think I probably spun a bearing and the engine is toast.

does a spun rod bearing equal zero oil pressure? the oil pressure gauge won't even move at all.

I didn't do anything wrong if that's what you're trying to say. the oil pump bolt is tight and I had good oil pressure up to today. I changed the belt a couple weeks ago adn this is the second time i've done it.

I think you should still get some oil pressure even with a spun rod bearing, not much but some....correct me if I'm wrong.
It's odd that the gauge won't move....was the red light on at the bottom of the gauge?

how does it sound. Be more specific. I spun a bearing in my corolla and it was a very very audible CLANKing
