Look in the regular 924 catalog in PET for those P/Ns.

Found part number for stay and rubber part but struggling to identify for the spring clip that holds the stay to the bonnet when the bonnet is closed.

Is it item 11 in the PET below. Part # 431 823 397?

Have you sourced a fibreglass bonnet? locally? I'd love to have one. I had one on a previous car and it was brilliant.

I don't recall the maker of those camber plates. Back in the day, adjustable camber plates weren't legal for Club Racing.

I'm totally lusting after the IFC cowl induction fiberglass hood. They made it specifically for the LS swaps, would give me the much needed clearance for my intake and throttle body.

No I haven;t found one locally but I'm very keen on the idea of one. I bring a sea shipment of stuff in from Los Angeles about once or twice a year so the shipping is not too bad. Probably under $100.

I'm also tempted to build up a quality mould and reproduce the original Motorsport hood with the recessed bonnet pins. There has been discussion of it in the past and a lot of the parts have been sourced and/or dimensioned. Tempting!

Where are you based in NZ?

Ok ... I'm quite local to you. Just on the other side Torbay on the North Shore.

Is the template a drawing or something you took off an original cup car? If it is digital flick me through the template to davies.nz@xtra.co.nz.

Are you a member of the PCNZ? There a re a few nice 944's that get together around Auckland. 2 NZ new Silver Roses, a very nice 944S, my S2 and there is also another guy who travels up form the S Island with an M030 S2 ... feel free to join us some time.

If you are interested in a cup replica glass bonnet that makes the project more worthwhile. It isn't a simple project ... there are brackets for the pins and the pins themselves to fabricate in addition to the bonnet. Also the underside of the cup car bonnet is quite different form the stock steel bonnet. It doesn't have a steel centre spine. I know someone who has one who can give me all the dims but it will be a while before I get onto it.

Regards

Paul

I'm an on-again, off-again member since 2000. I sometimes join for a year to do a driver training or another event, etc. I've spent most of the last year away from NZ so have only driven my car twice since last July. It's looking pretty sad so I'll tidy it up and would be keen to catch up with other 944 people.

The template I have is like a scale tech drawing from a guy who has a cup car. I also have a series of photos that went with it, i'll try and dig them up tonight.
