LOOKING FOR WHITE GAUGE FACE REPLACEMENTS
ANYONE KNOW WHO SELLS WHITE GAUGE FACE REPLACEMENTS FOR A 1987 944T? ALSO IS IT TRUE THAT IF I DISASSEMBLE THE SPEEDO IT WILL HAVE TO BE RECALIBRATED? HOW EASY DO THE NEEDLES COME APART? I HAVE THE ASSEMBLY ON THE BENCH. I WANT TO CLEAN ALL THE CONTACTS AND CHANGE THE BULBS. I REALLY LIKE THE LOOK OF THE WHITE GAUGES.

I did this a couple of years ago and am happy with the results. The e'bay set included a "needle" remover that will pull off the needles just fine if you don't get ham fist-ed. The gauge panel removal went well, installation was easy. The only problem I had was putting the tach needle on. I ham fist ed it and bent the needle shaft. In the end ,I sent it out for repair and calibration. Yes it was about $200. If your careful and follow instructions you should be fine.

say what you want..my white face gauges are great! I had mine done professionally by North Hollywood Speedometer...they were about the same price as Palo Alto Speedometer..but I liked NHS's people better.
It was on the expensive side, but here's what I did:
White faces
Blue LED lighting
New Dayglo orange needles all around
fix odo gear
calibrate all gauges
re-calibrate temp gauge to read in Farenheight rather than "HOT" and "COLD" or whatever it used to show.
Polish the clear cover so it looks new
Total was about $700 including shipping to/from them in Cali.
