I layed down a coat of flat maroon on my car before painting it red-orange, but that probably wouldn't help ya.

I have seen pictures of a couple different flat black 944's and some look ok and some don't.

Since I am big into drifting, every time I go to a drift event I see literally dozens of flat black cars (mostly 240sx variants) and I'm so damn sick of seeing flat black. So if you are looking for opinions, I vote no!!

i'm not a fan of flat black as a whole car color. besides rattle can flat black vs a real flat black paintjob is different.

u can rag on all day long.

but a

will still turn heads.

Flat orange would look cool I think.

This summer I saw a flat black LP640 in Zurich. Absolutely positively 100% godly.

I think only that Lamborghini can pull it off, the lp640 in flat black because its meant to look like a stealth fighter

It looked like the bat mobile. Words can barely describe it, and I'm not a big lambo guy.

I'm not planning on rattlecanning it... 50% satin black paint (half gloss).
I don't like the mattle look finish, but half gloss is money

^ one of my favorite porsche tuners of all. I always wish they would do a 944 variant just to see what kind of crazyness they would come up with.

But yes, a lot of the brand new, exotic sports cars and luxery cars have been painted flat black and look amazing. Even the big rolls royce phantom I think was painted matte black. I just dont think a 944 could pull it off unless it was modified elsewhere to look mean and beastly. Otherwise, you are probably going to have a lot of people asking if its your primer or something.

Note to all - Most of the cars that actually look good are not paint. It is a complete flat black vinyl application.
