Post Le Mans this weekend on Speed.....

Tune in to the Speed Channel this weekend and watch as The Racer’s Group tries for a repeat podium finish at this year’s running of Le Mans. As well, you can still take a “Lap of Le Mans” with Kevin Buckler in the GT3 RS from the main Rennlist Website at https://rennlist.com

If I’m able to secure a fast Internet connection from the Media Center at Le Mans – watch for race updates and pictures posted to the Rennlist Racing site at https://rennlist.com/racing/ as well as the e-mail lists and several of the Rennlist Forums… Also - we hope to post some of team photographer, Bob Chapman's - excellent photos as well throughout the next days.

In the meantime, and as importantly – I would also like to take a moment to thank the dozens of folks who have chosen to support this years Le Mans efforts by becoming a Private and/or Corporate The Racer's Group Sponsor from the pages found here: https://rennlist.com/racing/. During the race, I’ll be taking some pictures of your logos and decals as they appear on the Porsche GT3 RS throughout this 24 hour endeavor. Many of you, along with Rennlist Members and individual PCA on POC contributors – made The Racer’s Group entry for this year’s event even possible. And for that, I know it’s Kevin’s, Deb’s, Shane's and the entire TRG Team goal to stand proud and give 110% through to the checkered flag…

Again – my warmest thanks for your support and well wishes.

My Best to all,

John D.

Hi Dan....

Actually - until yesterday - I wasn't going... Kevin insisted that I come - but, I couldn't afford it. TRG couldn't afford it either - so I was going to be here (US).

Yesterday - the phone rang. It was Kevin from France.

"John - you are coming. I found a way for it to happen - so your tickets are being delivered tomorrow... I really want you here - you need to be here...". I was a little speechless. I still am.....

So - Fedex showed up this AM....

Want to know how the tickets were "paid for"?

Kevin Buckler tuned in the last of his personal airline miles for my tickets.... He sure didn't have to do that - but he did....

and i thought im lucky to have some friends help me get to california for the 912 gathering. its great that people help others when stuff like this happens. its all the magic these cars and this lifestyle (if you wanna call it that) bring out in everyone involved! send my best to the team, everyone from the windshield washers to the drivers!

take plenty of pics, and most importantly, have a great time!

I went a couple of years ago but only as Joe Public.

2am trackside, dirty and deaf is an experience that will live with me forever.

Have fun,

Chris

Most hotels anywhere near LeMans are booked out years in advance. But you'll find everyone either sleeps in tents next to their cars (even brandnew Ferrari or Porsche owners) or enjoy the show all night.

Best bet is stopping at a cheapo 'Formula 1' motel along the highway between the airport and the track.
