Gah! I wish I saw this earlier when I might have been able to do something.

I have a spare DME relay for my '87 which, if it'll work, I"d be willing to let you use for trouble shooting. Unfortunately, I'm about to head out of town for the weekend and won't be able to do anything for a little while.

Where in Fairfax are you? Also, who did you tow the car to?

BB.

That would be the DME relay. It is also known as the fuel pump relay.
Primary suspect for no fuel. It's gets more complicated with no spark.

30 bucks for a new relay, swap it in, the car will start.

DME or FPR (fuel pressure regulator) if it will start up for a few seconds and die, its the FPR, easy fix.

Well I am running on three cylinders its running w/o dieing. He says that he thinks an AFM or a ICV may be the problem.

ok new update! I know you are all excited. The tech has tested the fuel injectors and they are all fine. Here is what happening. One of my fuel injectors is cutting on and off. The idle was very low "a couple hundred" when he got it up and running. He had to adjust it a lot to get it to not stall. He thinks it might be the AFM. If anyone has one for sale please let me know i drive an 87 944 na
