As far as motor swaps in general go, I think SR and 2JZ swaps are too played out. We dont want our cars to go that direction.
Thats why we go with Honda F motor or Toyota 1UZ

was the supra engine a tt or just n/a, a rb26de(skyline n/a motor) would fit, but google engine type rb26dett...then picture fitting that in a 944 engine bay. plus the way it's built it's damn near impossible to make it or retain LHD

Honda and Nissan engines would indeed be heresy (note spelling) and sacrilege (note spelling). (If you used Firefox, you wouldn't have this problem. It checks your spelling for you as you type.)
But the real question is whether a given option would be in some respect superior to the ubiquitous LS1. In order to be practical, a swap kit is going to have to either be easier, be cheaper overall, or result in a more powerful vehicle.
Preferably, two of these, or even all three, would be be possible.
I'm not really savvy enough to make any suggestions, beyond noting that the narrow bay probably limts us to straight, slant, and maybe certain narrower v engines, or perhaps a rotary?
But whatever we suggest, we should also point out how it might be an improvement on the LS1.

a KA24DE would be an improvement since the engine is definitely cheaper than a LS1 and parts for those are dirt cheap from all the 240's around. of course mounting it in is still going to be custom.

Bang for buck, VG30ET. That's the older single cam, 12valve unit. One of the lightest and strongest V6's out there. Nobody wants them now so very cheap. Unopened with boost, intercooler and updated EFI 400+++BHP is readily attainable.
About 530m from front pully to rear face long, about 430mm from crank centre to top of inlet manifold and about 500mm width at maximum point on cam covers. Because of the lighter head and single cams they weigh around 350lbs.

Yeah we dont drive classic minis here haha.
KA24 is kind of a gutless motor. Parts are becoming more popular here for them but I mean its a truck engine. I don't think theres much jdm aftermarket support for them.

who cares about jdm? i got a friend with a daily driver ka24 turbo doing 450whp. it's got grunt and it's dependable. that's all that matters. who cares if it's jdm or not.
