turbos depending on the year had hardened gears and hardened ring/pinion to deal with the enormous torque the turbo motor put out

they are also taller gears so there is less torque multiplication

btw im 18, if i wanna do burnouts i just get in my 300hp/ftlb infiniti and stand on the pedals all day long.

yes it does if you do some research you will see that the ring and pinion gears in a turbo trans have more teeth and are larger therefore less prone to issue there are other differences in the transaxles too but yes the turbo and S2 trans are stronger than the n/a but dont put a turbo or s2 trans in your n/a the gearing will be off bad idea kay

less fuel efficient as well because they are taller gears right?

taller gears means lower revs which means better fuel economy but slower acceleration. it does mean a higher theoretical top speed though.

gearing is named backwards lol. taller/longer gears are low ratios, short gears are higher ratios. your 1st gear is alot shorter than your 5th gear which is why it spins up faster
