Default What should I start with first? (new project)

I bought this 944 at the auction and it turns out it was donated to charity and since it didn't run they sold it as-is. The fuel rail is loose and one of the injectors is missing along with the ignition coil.

What should I start with first?

Check the timing belt? Pull the fuel rail/coil from my parts car and see if it starts? The oil looks good and clean.

Here are some pics.

before anything I would turn the crank over and watch thru the cam inspection hole to make sure the cam is turning too. Then swap over the parts and see if it runs. If it runs take the parts out and do the belts.

I believe that sensor is the brake pad wear indicator. I might be wrong though

There's a good guide on fleebay of all places, that is a checklist of all the items that should be done to a 944 without any history. Porsche 944 eBay guide

Make sure that "clean oil" isn't clean gasoline. This POS corolla I was using as a rallycross car had really clean oil, and that's because it was mostly gasoline. The rings, of course, went from bad to worse. Give the dipstick a sniff to tell.

I posted about it before but the first time threw the auction the reserve was not met. The second time my bid was $75.00 more and they took it.

I think that is a 951 rear spoiler on the back. The easy money would be to part her out but I want to try and save her. With a good cut polish she will look pretty good.

That connector hanging down is most likely the fuel pump connector, the cover for the fuel pump is also missing.

It doesn't look bad. If the HG is OK and it only needs a fuel pump or AF meter it would seem worth fixing and selling.
