Can someone chime in on how much lateral support improvement a seat like these Recaros gives compared to a stock seat, and compared to a fixed-back racing shell seat?

E.g. if the fixed back seat is a 10 out of 10, and the OEM Porsche seat is a 4 out of 10, is the Recaro SRD a 9? 7?
you have to sit in a bunch. it isnt so much fixed or recline as the seat and your body. my srds fit me fine. the fit better than the momos i think becasue they are a little narrower. i dont have harnesses in the S2 but had them in the turbo with the momos. thats another thing to consider. there are rules about how a harness must be mounted for some events, and differs by region or club sometimes.

check out the used seats on ebay. probably get a deal on a set a ricer got bored of. there were plenty of sparcos on ebay a year and a half ago when i was looking. everyone wanted sparcros nobody looked at a few sets of momos. the day after i got my black ones from CA a guy 20 miles from me put up a set of red ones that i could have gotten for next to nothing. go figya

ebay is your friend. we are going to the off season, you may find deals from people setting up cars for next season.
