Default Car shuts off when I give it throttle

I am in the process of getting my car to run with teh SC that I put on. I have a vitesse MAF kit with the PB on it. The problem I am having is he car shuts off when I give it throttle. If I gradually give it throttle, I mean gradually, it will climb in RPM. If you go to rev it, it will shut off as soon as you give it throttle. Any takers on what the problem will be?

Im far from an expert or even experienced with the car.... but it did the same thing to me and it was the fuel filter...... But i had ran out of gas right before this happened. So it might be something else.

MAF isnt calibrated right. I ran into the same problem. Exact same problem with the MAF. Hooked the AFM back up and ran fine.

Please explain by MAF not calibrated right? Is it something that i have to get sent back and reprogramed for the chip? How did you fix the problem? Can I do the calibration?

Thanks,

To tell teh truth I have no idea.

I know when I had my MAF setup with no piggy back, and autothority chips. The car would idle fine, but as soon as I touched the throttle it would cut off and die.

You can try playing with the piggy back I think, but ultimately the best thing to do is to get a set of chips burnt.

You should X-Post this to the 944 turbo boards. Youll probably get a lot more replies.

I got the chip burnt for the 951 injectors and the maf setup, yada yada yada...

What I plan on doing is testing all the pins to make sure I have continuity, install the 3bar unit and adjust the FQR and see what happens...then try installing a map of it...af to find out how the heck I use the program for the piggy back system....

anymore takers? could this be a vacuum leave problem?

Could also very well be a vacuum issue as well. Its very hard to tell between the two without checking the car out physically.

The only thing that turns me away from thinking its a vacuum problem is that it stays idling.

Id still try and xpost this to the 944 turbo boards. There are a lot of knowledgeable guys over there that dont post on this board.

Travis,

How about taking the advice of the man that developed the system you are using. The software is designed to work with a 3bar FPR (which you are NOT using). The Fuel Quality Switch must be set correctly (which you have not verified). You have not checked the basics (vacuum leaks, power to the MAF, signal from MAF to DME, TPS etc..). I have emailed you multiple times over the weekend. Your car was having running problems before you installed the system, it's time to check the basics!!!

The MAF and Software are calibrated to work together.

If you require additional support, email me directly as you have done over the weekend.
