**Anyone have a good Experience with Paintless Dent Repairs??
Sounds like Perry951 just finished the hail damage repairs to his hood - 102 dents!
What's the consensus? I've got a few little dents along the front edge of the hood where people pressed down in the wrong place... and I wanted to try this dent doctor method to pop them back out. What's the biggest dent they can remove??

I used to work for Dent Wizard, so I can provide some information on this subject. The biggest dent I have seen removed (perfectly) was about softball-sized. It really does depend on the person doing the work, and I can't stress this enough.
The other factor is access to where the dent is. They may have to drill underneath the hood to get to the dent if there is no immediate access to it, or they may use a process called "glue-pulling".
Just be careful who does the work for you. If you could provide some close-up pictures I could estimate how much it should cost you, for you don't get overcharged. Many people in this business enjoy screwing over their customers. Any more questions, just ask.

I have used Dent Doctor with very good results. They charged $50 a panel to remove dents. I have not used them on my Porsche, but were very good to my other cars.

I have used Dent wizard on both my cars and they have done amazing work.
The got a half dollar sized ding out of the top of the fender on my 911, I was very impressed.

The Dent Wizard out here was highly reccomended. He was never there though... so I skipped him.
I found a little shop north of Cinci, and took the hood for review. I was quoted $300, and for the damage, a hell of a deal. Guy said it should not be a problem. He was right.
Just make a few calls to them, ask if they can repair what you want, then stop buy and meet the people. Check out their lot, and the work going on to judge. If it is dead, they probably don't do much work. If it is busy and the work looks right, go for it.

You are not in MPLS, but I met the perfect dent guy. Jurgen Deeter (I think that was how his last name was spelled). Older guy trained in the Bimmer factory over in some plant in Germany to take out dents from mistakes on the assembly line.
He was telling me his job interview at BMW was pretty simple. "See that car? Here is a chunk of sheet metal. Make a replacement fender."
He does hail and such for all the high end dealers around the country. That is the type you want. Doesn't cost any more than the dent wizard guys, except for flying him out and living expenses if you actually got this guy to come up.
Get a bunch of dents together in one place, and you have a working proposition.

A couple of the high end car dealers around here use a mobile service and I have that contact number. Just wanted to know what the experience was out there before I make the call. No dents of any sort in my 951, but a few "soft" dents in my son's 944 NA, and a good one in my 1967 Jag E Type door when I opened my MB door into it! That's gotta be the worse - <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> watching your own car door in slomo hit your concours car!
