Put the motor back together with pics... and a surprise
Gasket matched and polished head, magnecor wires, cone intake, bosh platinum plugs and whole lot of cleaning:
and as for the surprise... when I was trying to start it, I had absolutely no fuel pressure. So off to the gas statation i got since the tank was sitting on empty. Fill it up and what do I find ??
THERE'S A MOTHERFCKING CRACK IN MY MOTHERFCKING GAS TANK! /samel jackson
Crap... off the to the junk yard I go.

I haven't actually taken that off... it's getting dark out and I couldn't see much, except the leaking gas. I'm crossing fingers that it's something like that. Does anyone have any diagrams of gas tank assembly?

did you rebuild the motor or just painted everything red? lol. I'd get the fuel leak checked out right away, you don't want to blow up.
how does the car run on platinum plugs? I was told to just use copper and not the fancy platinum ones. I was using bosche copper and switched to ngk v groove coppers not sure if they're better but it runs good.

Copper > Platinum.
You did all that work to the car, yet the rest is in need of a good scrubbing! Toss in a new Expansion and Washer Tank, then the Engine Bay will really be shiny!

Its the Fuel pump. Mine did the same thing.
I think modern fuel with ethenol eats the seals in the pump. My pump worked fine, but bled like a stuck pig from around the plastic front.
no big deal. Its easy to change, and cheaper than alot of other fuel pumps. http://www.rockauto.com

I know, where the car sits right now I have no water hose access so I had no chance to scrub it all out. It's definitely on my list, along with the two tanks

I'd add more inlet tubing and direct it to get air from the hole in the fender. Otherwise she'll be getting warmer air, and you'll actually lose HP.
There's a ton of write ups about this. The average response will be, use the stock box, maybe add a K & N element and go.

This is only partially true. I put a digital thermometer behind my hood latch found that the temperature was the same as ambient (I was trying to see if the MAF on my 951 would be sucking hot air) at highway speeds. While it no doubt sucks hot air in traffic/stop and go, once on the highway, plenty of air flows through. Now whether or not it increases HP is another story....
