Here you go Mr. Perry951, I'm planning to go Saturday from I-675N to I-70E to I-71N. I haven't checked the directions to Mansfield from there.
I think the quick way is to take the I-270 loop in Columbus from I-70 to I-71 but I need to check a map.

Exit #7 (Wilmington Pike) on I675 would be a real good place for the Cincy guys to meet up with the Dayton Guys. The Home Depot is right off that exit (big parking lot to meet in) and there's also a Shell station for good gas and a McD's for caffiene and a quick bite.

For those of you coming North on 71, take the 30 exit East.. but don't actually get on 30, stay right as the on-ramp becomes an off-ramp for Koogle rd. Take Koogle South (it lives up to it's name Koogling back and forth) for about 1 mile where it T's into 430. Turn right on 430 (westbound) for less than 1 mile, watch for Oakwood Estates on the left. Left into Oakwood Estates (Oak Creek Dr.) and straight back to the end. Once you get to the end, you have arrived!

I think I remember how to get there..... I'll have to test my memory! I do remember shooting past Oak Creek, so how about a nice big sign, flag, something. The one you had last year was a bit hard to see at the high speeds the Buick was traveling!

Hey... 25 is fast for that car! You hit 30 and it is almost out of control from the lack of pressure in my struts. It takes 10 minutes of sitting still before it stops bouncing!

Pete, that does sound like the best place to meet and we can pick up any westerners or Hoosiers on I-70. Brian mentioned 11:30-12:00 departure time from there which sounds good (unless we have to adjust to earlier depending on # of pick-up points). Learned a good lesson from Jeremy at the Taj Fest and will bring my 2 Motorola 2-way radios, suggest if anyone has radios to bring them along. And Dan, if you don't want to mess with the keg I can bring more beer than was previously pledged as long as the Bud drinkers don't whine about the brand(s); Red Dog, Icehouse, Miller Lite, MGD, the Beast or any other requested (Miller) brands. Just let me know. Can't wait........

Wade, put me down for 6 Miller Lite... my current drink of choice.

I should have my 2 ways as well.

I am thinking a little later departure from Dayton to allow the southern guys a chance to get up here with us. No one wants to hit the road at 4am....

UPDATE: I've compiled a list of the folks and cars that intend to attend. So far, I'm expecting 30 front engine Porsches and about 45 guests. (!!!) I've made my list into a rough html, It should show if you plan to arrive sat and what you will bring. If I missed you, your number of guests, or what you plan to bring, please let me know so I can update the list.

Just to keep you up to date on event sponsors, both Imagine Auto (913-310-9927) and Ians Europarts/944Online.com (954-968-3766) have agreed to donate some goodies for door prizes. Dan, you may want to give some thought as to how they will be distributed.

Hey everyone, please be sure to call both Steve Kaspar at Imagine Auto and Ian Riley at Ian's Europarts/944Online,com and thank them for their support of 944Fest. Both companies are Rennlist website sponsors as well, and both are great guys to do business with. If you haven't dealt with them before, you are missing out. Ian is a great source for new and used parts for 944's and is knowledgeable on the entire line of 924/944/968's. Steve Kaspar is known mostly for his work building high end 911 Turbo's and is the PCA National Tech advisor on 911's, but I have been pestering him so much about 951's that he has agreed to start playing with them as well. He's a GREAT resource for us guys wanting to hot rod our turbos.

Disclosure: I receive no financial considerations from either Steve or Ian (um, or anyone else, for that matter!) in return for my constantly saying nice things about them or recommending them in any way. I do, however, consider both of them to be friends of mine after having dealt with, purchased from and hanging around with them, so its not like I am completely unbiased. Take it for what its worth!

Regards,

Scott.. Excellent work. How's this: Prizes for longest drive in, fastest mowercross times, slowest mowercross time, Second prettiest car (Perry already won first place and nobody has actually SEEN the car yet), highest mileage, crowd favorite (see comment about Perry above) special recognition, Most outrageous stunt for the video, etc..

Folks, 944Fest'03, July 5th and 6th, is going to go down in history as a historic gathering of waterboys..don't miss it!

Just realized that this is the weekend I'll be in Ohio! Would love to come, but since I'll be carless, can anyone help me out? I'll be staying in Akron, near Portage Lakes State Park, just off Manchester Rd. (Ohio Rt. 93), not far from I-277.

Thanks,
Pat
