951 values for insurance purposes
So, it looks like I might get paid for my 951 that was the victim of a hit and run by a "stolen" SUV. This happened in September of '06 I just need proof of what an excellent condition 87 944 turbo was worth between 2006 and now. I have printouts from late 2006 from autotrader and completed auctions of similar cars selling for up to 13K. I'm pretty sure I have the this years or last years excellence values, but if somone happens to have an issue next to them and wants to scan it, that would be much appreciated. I guess I would need a full page showing the date. Thanks!

if you are a PCA member, go to the PCNA page and request an insurance value form. They will give you like prices for vehicles with simiilar options, and mods (if any) for isurance usage. You can also get a declared value assesment if you want to have your vehicle insured for (X) about of dollars. GL.

Actually, a full page copy of the most recent 2008 excellence prices would be perfect. I found the April 2007 prices and copied the full page so they can see what magazine and what date it's from.

are they paying you based on 06 value plus interest, or on today's value?
check out ebay. it is a willing buyer and willing seller. there are some expensive starting bids, and some bids that didnt make reserve. chose the ones you want and sent them to the attorney. i think he just needs backup for his file and isnt going to research the stuff to knock you down. if it didnt sell at the high bid it means you couldnt buy it for that high number because you didnt have a willing seller.
also get ads from PCA's mart. i think you need panorama. those asking prices are crazy high a lot of the time and there is nothing to stop you from using them

The current insurance appraisal on my 110,000 km 87 951 puts it around $11K. I wouldn't say it is excellent. Interior is fair, paint is worn. Appraisal was done in October 2007.

Thanks guys. I actually printed out some winning ebay auctions back when the accident happened in 06. I found 11K for stock ones with with bad pictures, up to 17K for one with a chip, exhaust, and nice pictures.
I'm hoping to get the price of the car plus interest, and lawyer fees and I guess plus inconvenience.
Here's the story. I'm driving the car late one night, and get plowed by an 06 Grand Cherokee SUV crossing the intersection in REVERSE! SUV also hit a person who ended up dying, and two other cars, and drives off. Owner reports the car stolen the next day after the police go to her home.
I didn't have collision so I make a claim against that SUV. Owner takes 9 months to make a statement with her insurance Awfulstate. Finally comes up with something about having a spare key in the car, allowing the car to be stolen. I believe the car was found with no evidence of ignition tampering. Awfulstate buys the story and pays for her car, but never officially denies my claim.
My lawyer sues for 25K (max in small claims), gets her to show up for a deposition. She admits to having 3 cars and 2 drivers in her household, while living in public housing. Lawyer says "well 3 cars and 2 drivers on your income, you sure there isn't another driver?" She admits to having 2 adult sons that may have had access to the cars. Right after her deposition Awfulstate lawyer talks settlement. Thats where I'm at right now.
Not sure what their policy is offhand, and what's going on with the kid who died and if her sons are suspects.
