Default 1/4 mile times

Ran around 16.1 usually. Best were 16.06 and 16.07. Got a reaction time under 0.1 seconds.

Worst run was the last one, right before the night ended, where the ring and pinion exploded after the car moved about 5 feet.

Would have been better to borrow someones Minivan for the runs...
No RnP to worry bout in those, and prolly better times.

Good luck on the rebuild/new trans!

Oh wow, those times sound pretty good. Sorry to hear about the trans.

Who else has timed the quarter? I've been looking to go time my 924S, even though I don't think I can match that! LOL

I've been curious to see what I can run in my car. I've heard 18.2 & 17.8 for the stock 924S.

Yesterday we tried with wet weather and got 16.3 the best. 60 feet was 2.8. I got these times with nokia e51, racechrono software and bluetooth gps. Dont know how right these numbers are,but pretty realistic. Trap speed was 138 km/h

Edit: New try was 16.2 60 feet 2.7 and 0-100km/h 8.7s. With dry road.
80-120km/h 5.8 s.

About a month ago I went and drag raced a couple times. I got 16.6 first time with a .9 reaction time and then the second and last time I got a 15.9 with a .7 reaction and that was with the worst start of my life, I over revved quite a bit. I think I could have got a 15.5 with a good start and good reaction.

Hey mark!

No worries guys I actually have a whole spare tranny that just didn't like 5th or R, so I don't really need any parts. Still trying to get the car towed from the drag strip, though. I got really sick over the weekend. What's great is that it has been raining a LOT each day it's been outside uncovered! So it'll be full of water.

I'll keep you posted.

So... are you going to be one of the ones to prove how these cars CAN be turbo charged?

Cars with IRS and drag racing is about as logical as FWD cars and road racing...

It will work -- just like you can use a hammer to pound in a screw...

Just my $0.42,

I'd be too embarrassed to even try and drag my car...
