Default Rear center jacking point?

I usually jack up the front of the car by placing the jack under the x-member. That way i can raise both front wheels at the same time, and place jack stands.

Is there such a place to use on the REAR end, to lift both rear wheels off at the same time?

Can the t-bar housing take it?

i've done it with a block of wood at the center of the transaxle. it didn't snap in half..... not sure if that's recommended or not.

I have done it on the tranny. My perferred method is the side center jack points. I jack up my race car at least twice per weekend doing tire rotations and checks and do it this way all the time. I have used the tranny only if needing to do just the rear wheels and I don't have the same for the sides.

I normally raise the rear from one of the rear jack points and then place a axel stand under torque tube. It work good for me and with one stand I can keep the whole rear of the car lifted safely.

I would not jack using the trans or place jack stands under the torque tube.

U can use the torsion bar tube if you can reach the center of it.

just use the jacking points there are like 6 of them, so you have to jack twice to get the rear up. Better than changing your trans mount.

I use the cross member very frequently for the front end. Normally I would use the side jack points to deal with rear tires... but if I need both rears off, I have been known to jack from the bottom of the trans, and then place stands on the torsion bar housing.

That reminds me.... how do you tell if your transmission mount is bad? My trans is out. Can I tell by inspection? Thanks

As I said earlier you jack once from 1 jacking point at the rear as high you can get and then place a jack stand under the middle of the torque tube. When you remove the jack the whole of the rear is lifted once the weight is taken by the jack under the torque tube.

I would not place the weight of the car or half the car on the torque tube. The torque tube attaches to the engine up front and the trans at the rear.

It is not bolted to the body, putting a jackstand on the the torque tube is like putting a jack under the trans or under the engine. not good.

just put the jackstand under the torsion bar tube in the middle.
