Default Bursch cat back and header?

I have a Bursch cat back and header that I haven't installed on the car yet. Does anyone have any experience with this set up? What should I expect in gains and sound? Oh and it has a straight pipe to replace the cat.

if its new expect it to smoke for awhile as it burns off their spraybomb job back to bare metal.

if you're going from cat to straightpipe with any setup expect it to be loud on an NA!

I am already running the stock exhaust with the cat removed, this is the way I got the car. I'm just wondering if the header is worth the trouble? But it sounds like it shoudn't be to much loader than my current setup?

Is this the same Wrightbenz that bought my front end parts from my wrecked NA. I had the Bursch header system on the wrecked NA and it sounded great. Made the throttle a bit smoother and had a nice deep gurgle from the engine.

I like the Bursch header. It still retains the factory piping design at no loss of HP or torque, yet gives you the ability to go to a 2.5" exhaust.

Hey chitown944. I am the one that bought your old front end and robbed that 944S from you. I sold it last fall but I quickly relized that I like these cars to much to live without one. So I just picked up this 944 na that someone did some so so body work on the front. It dosen't look awful but if it's repaired the car will be very nice. Did your na have a cat or straight pipe?

Bursch makes a nice system. I have a bursch catback on my S and I love it, it's not loud at all but nice and throaty, it gives the car a nice distinctive sound, gained just a little torque and hp, i don't know anything about their headers but I would expect them to work nice with no cat and their muffler. Like someone said if youve got them toss them on.

I'm not too fond of the Bursch Catback. It is merely a Dynomax Turbo Muffler with a louvered glasspack as a resonator before the muffler. It's not that restrictive though. Then again, I don't know if the factory muffler is restrictive either.
