Default Looking and Selling- for a friend.

Guy up the street from me bought a very clean 944S last year and i worked on it alittle getting maintenence up to spec. After looking at my car for awhile he has decided he wants an S2 or a turbo, preferrably stock and reasonably priced. I'm going to post pics of his car tonite w/ more details, but if anyone is interested OR if you have a clean s2 or turbo for sale- like i said no major mods or problems- let me know. His car is an 87 944S, 2.5L 16v- i'll get the milage but im thinking it was around 120K ish. White car, burgundy interior- he had the bolsters on the seats redone as well as the bottom of the seats- it has burgundy stripe seats w/ vinyl bolsters and now the lower panels are solid vinyl. Clean car, i recently put belts, rollers and a new chain tensioner, pad and chain on the engine. Stock phone dials that someone sanded and polished-but could use a repolish on them from sitting. He pulled all of the cracked up rock guards off and it looks pretty good- just needs new guards installed. $5000 obo.

I know of an 86 T, sunroof delete that might be available. IIRC it's got about 110k, red, LSD, Sport seats, tan inside, sport suspension. She's in need of belts, some seals, etc but that's all cake for you, eh Dan? The car is now with it's second owner, the price is much lower now. The car got traded in, some maint issues came up, others were fixed. It is the car we were discussing in this thread:

PM Silverosa (Brad K) if you are interested, or I can get you a phone #.

Now Dan, you know that all 951's that you find should go to me, first!

Price range is $7-9K

Guys, this Turbo IS in that price range now. The original owner traded it in after not getting any hits on it's steep price. I'm not sure what Brad will be asking for it, but your numbers are likely darn close. I just spoke to him and I expect hime to chime in soon.

Default Over my head or ready to dive in

In reference to the 86 951 DanP mentions: I couldn't let this one go when we took it on trade. I met the cars owner after seeing his ad in Panorama and realized he was the original owner of a 944 Turbo in North Ridgeville. Between the Pierson clan and a few others, I thought I knew everyone in my hometown with a 951. Anyway, the dreams of making a great daily driver then evolving to a dedicated track car may be tough to accomplish. I know it's tough, but I can always do that with my low-mileage Silver Rose car. I don't have the knowledge to repair myself and with 2 kids tuition in the fall don't have the cash to pay to do the job right. I'm still on the fence, but would definitely consider selling to a good home. I would be willing to sell at a fair price. If you're interested call or email and we can discuss the good and bad, etc.

Take care,

Brad Kennett

Hey Dan,

I have a friend of mine that is in the Lakewood area of Cleveland that is looking for a 951. I've emailed the seller and we'd like to come take a look at it next weekend as I'll be up that way anyways.

Nelson I know you've been looking as well so I'll give it a thorough look over and let you know how it looks in person. My friend is just starting the search and is probably not ready to pull the trigger on anything just yet anyways.

I have a 87 951 that needs some interior work, but is in good mechanical shape. Willing to sell cheap enough to get the seats re done.
