Exclamation Just When I Thought I Could Breathe....

.... So there's been a pulling recently to the passenger side when I brake, and a bit of noise. Doc Boost found that my castor bolts were the culprit -- one was completely gone -- stripped. The other one won't tighten -- stripped and waiting for an excuse to fall. Said threads are of course, built into the frame, and those are .... out of my range, price-wise and sanity. Andy probably wouldn't care for that project either -- so I wanna know what you guys think I should do -- I'm not driving the car until it's fixed, if you have anything you think would work, let me know! Thanks guys.

I'm asking what should I do to fix the threads on the frame -- they keep the caster blocks and the control arms together, a part of the car, what have you... Would it help if I used your Triumph the Insult Comic dog accent when I type this stuff up anymore?

AND I'M TAKING YOUR ****ING DOOR SILLS OFF MY CAR. THEY KEEP MAKING IT SAD. :-(

Your foul luck has bukakked all over my car for the last time!

I believe it was that rock on the Miami campus that you met up with a few years back that led to the bad luck not the VA Rock's door sills. But maybe if he posted those bikini photos he promised all would be well.

soo what is stripped out- the castor block threads in the frame, or the bolt that holds the block to the a-arm. If its the ps a-arm i think i have one- if its the threads in the frame bring it over and i'll fix it.

It's the threads on the frame -- both of them, on the passenger's side.

Helicoil? It's not like those bolts are torqued down that tight.

Tap it out for one size larger, like mentioned earlier in the thread.

Rennbay travis helicoiled his autocross car where the caster block bolts. Then again, he would figure out a way to helicoil himself it it was possible.

very sad to hear, Andrew.

Too bad it wasn't just a brake problem, like i had suspected.
