Bumper replacement/ (Update about tint)

I used to dislike the look of N/A bumpers, but mine grew on me. Personally I don't like the crushed bumper shock effect, it doesn't look right to me. And as for bumperette delete.. those actually grew on me too. It's very 80's Porsche, and thats what a 944 is... But if i had to decide, I'd say GTS, but its not that big of a change for the $... just my .02

Put a black mess grill in front of the a/c condenser to block rocks from denting the condenser and decreasing the efficiency of the radiator. Then get euro brackets t o bring the bumper inwards. Then add a lower lip. You'll be happy with the results.

no AC
but there will be an intercooler mounted in there someday soon, but i was looking at putting it in the enormous space that the stock NA bumper takes up.
here is another picture that GT-Racing sent me of the blue car with the mini-bumperette delete GTS bumper.

I feel the Turbo/S2 look is the best.
If I were going that route, I would follow Tifosiman’s example and replace the fenders (or modify them), front valence and headlight doors thus enabling me to use the original Porsche bumper cover. The fiberglass aftermarket turbo-like bumper covers that are meant to fit onto an N/A have two drawbacks:
1) They are fiberglass, necessitating a lot of work to get a decent fit. Plus, I would prefer a flexible part in this application.
2) The greater curvature of the OEM pieces (when viewed in plan) has a significant effect on the aesthetics. The “flat” face of the aftermarket item is not as pretty by far.
I am not a fan of the “snubbed” treatment for the N/As as, to my eye, although the side profile is more svelte, the trade-off is much harsher gaps between the bumper and the bodywork when viewed from the front.

+1 the aftermarket turbo bumper doesn't look all that good. if you're comfortable cutting and rolling sheet metal you can just modify your fenders to fit. i spent awhile looking around for parts and was able to do mine for under $250 (minus the fog lights). Turbo bumper + shocks + bumper cover + headlight covers: $125 Turbo header panel: $75 Miscellaneous items incl. blinkers, wiring etc +/- $25. You can get a rear diffuser for around $100ish if you look around. Only thing I do want is one of those fiberglass rear bumpers from Fiberwerks.

Can anyone give me a photoshop idea of maybe a 30% tint on my windows using this picture? (edited in paint to have european rear/924GTS bumpers, also lowered maybe 1.5")
Also, can anyone try to shop a black 968 hoop spoiler onto the back?
TIA

I need to actually get some work done, so someone else can do the spoiler- anyway then you'll just be posing like you have an S2

thanks alex
that was really fast lol. nice.
im thinking that after the car gets repainted and the eurostuff put on, some dark dark windows and a glossy black hoop spoiler will make it pop....

I have the rear windows and hatch limo'd and the fronts with "factory tint" (see sig) and it helps keep the interior cooler as well.

nope. ca sucks as far as tint goes. i've heard it isn't really enforced unless your tint is really obvious. you could probably get away with 40 all around and down to the ts mark on your windshield. i'm guessing the only time you'd get in trouble for it is if you got pulled over for something unrelated and they decided to add it to your ticket.
