Default Can I use 7's on teh back of an S2?

My new S2 came with 7's and 8's (D90's, yuk). I want to buy a second set of wheels for the track, but I want to use the same size all around to be able to rotate them for the best wear. I don't think my old 15" cookies will fit , so I need a spare set. Can I get 7's all around...I tried it and the fronts fit the back ok...cleared the brakes and all. Am I missing something?

you can do 7's all around no problem - may sit in a touch- better to run 8's all around w/ 245/45/16" tires for more traction though.

+1 on the 8s up front. Need a little more grip for all that hp youve got now.

You can run 6s on the back if you wanted.

hi Steve

if you pick up a set and want my 7's you can always trade me for the 8's from your set...even swap!

Seriously...I have D90's on the car now...picked up a set of 968 clubs 7/8 and plan on keeping eyes opened for a second set so I can do the 8's/245's all around as well.

best

Joe

So 8's won't rub in the front under hard cornering? This car is seriously stiff. ... H&R coil overs and everything. I assume you can get RA-1s in 8s...... Oh, need to go to Hershey.

Someone buy my n/a...I need some $$$

The RA1 and the R888 come in 245 45 16 which should be roughly the same OD as a 225 50 16.

8's won't rub. I've got Koni coil overs w/ 400 lb springs up front, and the car is seriously lowered -- no rubbing issues at all. I'm running 245-45/16 RA-1's at all four corners.

Steve - are you going to the NNJR DE @ Summit Point in May?

I wasn't planning on that event. I'll be up there next weekend and in April. I may drive up to visit with my son....I'll look for you to say hello.

any early offset 7 will actually fit really nicely - a little rub in the rear if you use a tall tire (215/60) but no problems if you run a 225/50
