i was considering my repaint to this after seeing andy's car at 944 fest 2004...but my car doesn't have power to back up the looks. i painted a quarter of mine to get a feel for it, and most people liked it...i know it looks good to me, but losing to lesser imaged cars every single day would make me cry at night.

imo an actual flat black paintjob makes it look like a turd, the only good flat black is with vinyl wrapping. or actually painting a car black and then putting a matte clear coat on it

Some of these paintjobs are compelling where others look pretty ordinary. Assuming there is the right way to do this type of paint? Also what is the upkeep like, does it only look good for a while?
