Hey everyone,

I'm going to register for Pocono I, but I have a fairly important question. How many beans??
$210/day or $210 total? Couldn't tell, kind of hoping its $210 but i fear that's unlikely. Also read that 2 day registration is required. .. any info?

Online registration opens February 8th.

well I just registered.....hopefully I was one of the first.

To Do:

Car to wrench in the next 2 weeks...regular physical
Buy Hemlet
Get that BK fire extinguisher do-dad that I've wanted (to bolt to the bracket I got from Tom...THANKS TOM!)
Clean up the spare set of wheels I bought from another lister..and check over the tires that are on em.
square away the battery drain issue I've got....need to get out my trusty VOM!
explain again to the wife (she really hates rennlist!)
buy a jack...I need one anyway and would like to have one for when I am at an event

All I can think of right now....sure there'll be more!

Joe,

Costco has a decent not too heavy jack for $99. I bought it and have been using it at home and for the track.

Have you watched the video yet?

Hey Dan

I will check out the jack! Did you get it at the store or online? As far as the video, I actually have it sitting with the track stuff on my dresser....waiting for an hour or so when wifey-poo is out with the kids so I can check it out...but with my recurring sinus infections and my daughter/son trading strep lately it's been tough to grab time.

I am going to try to get a few car-related things done this weekend and hopefully that will be one of them!

best

Joe

Is it open to non-Porsche owners? I have two friends which run in NASA with me. I wanted to propose this event and see if there was an interest however before doing so, what are the conditions for non-porsche owners?

aben:
First off, the main requirement is PCA membership, which 95% of the time means the member owns a Porsche.

That said, in the past NNJR has had non-Porsches on the track, but this situation typically occurs on far away tracks. Why? Most of the nearby tracks (Lime Rock, Pocono, Watkins Glen) are easily sold out with only Porsches. As a Porsche Club, preference is given to Porsche Club owners and Porsches.

So back to the original question: your non-PCA guys probably won't be able to run with you at Pocono, since it is nearby, the first DE event of the season, and will likely be completely sold out.

$210 is pretty inexpensive. How much on track time?
