Default Cambox gasket install + mods!

ok so i got my Max chips today. I've had a bad cam box front seal leak since i bought the car so i figured i would do the seal and injectors/3bar reg and chips all in one shot. Meanwhile my axel is en-route from paragon should be here tomorrow. Well i ordered a cambox seal kit from Lindsey and it didnt have the small seal that goes into the front cam housing end -which is the one that is leaking! Does anyone know if they dont stock those for some reason? I looked back again at their website and it doesnt show that seal- but why would you put all these seals in w/o that one? I ordered mine over the phone so i didnt realize i would be missing something while i have my car all apart on the bench. I guess i'll call them in the morning and see if thats a separate option or something, or order one up from paragon--- geez another week w/o my car now waiting for parts like it hasnt been apart long enough.

- on a side note, what color should i spray my cambox while its off. i cleaned it all up tonite since i cant put it back together and i'm thinking spraying it graphite- but red/black/silver would look good too. Whatdayallthink?

Paint a unicorn on the side or something.

Or graphite.

Choose wisely.

I love being able to take off my valve cover and not have to remove anything but 13 bolts.

I say go for graphite. Then again, red would look sweet.

Dan, if you need the small seal that is inside the o-ring in your third picture, send me your address by PM and I'll get one in the mail to you tomorrow.

Paint it the color of your car. Black or red would also be nice and sporty.

Got my 55lb injectors, and a 3bar reg installed and my new axel is in. Put my chips in tonite and when i get the seals i can put her together and testdrive. Cant wait! Pics to come....

I would vote for red, or maybe even a bright aluminum might look good. Graphite would be cool but your car is very dark as it is so a bright cam tower might set it off more.

we blocked the letters out smooth as possible and then painted the cambox graphite metallic which is almost the same color as my car- prob cant tell the difference. THen cleaned the letters back off. Looks very good- someday when the motor comes out and i get to do some real painting i'll be painting everything w/ some eurethane paint and clear. Then it'll be crazy nice- right now its plastikote FM 8154 w/ duplicolor wheel clear.
