Default Anyone have a rear wiper plug?

I want to remove the rear wiper for weight savings on the track. (And the additional space under the glass).

Anyone have a plug?

Alternately, I was going to slip a bolt in there. Anyone have advice on what to put under the bolt to keep the rain out?

I just went to the hardware store, found a plastic plug with a close fit, clear epoxied it in. Done deal.

Wouldnt the factory delete not have any hole and therefore no plug?

My '83 is factory delete WITH hole and plug.

I think most 944's had holes and plugs if they didn't have a wiper, and having solid glass with no hole is rare.

my 89 944 has no plug..........thats why I thought a factory delete has no plug......you dont see a plug where a sunroof used to be on factory delete sun roof car right....so I just figured it would be the same..........

All the 944's I have seen have always had a plug if they didn't have a rear wiper.

That's what the PO did with mine. Looked like HELL.

Of course he sloppily applied what looked like tar as a sealant ...

I gave away a late hatch last year with the factory wiper delete and it had no hole or wiring channel down the drivers side. These cars are a mystery sometimes. Arnnworx has a nice plug. http://arnnworx.com/WiperDeletePlug.htm

They must have stopped putting the holes in the later hatches because everyone who has said they had no wiper and no hole said it was from an 89'.
