Try a cat-delete and just the muffler... its even louder.. Probably will have to try a different muffler if you want it quieter than you already have it...

The car will be loud no mater what you do with that muffler. I have a dyno max mufler and cat delete that I put on the car and it was extremely loud to the point I was being pulled over everyday. I then took a dynomax bullet style muffler and put that in place of where the cat would be. It took the drone out of the car and got the cops off my back.

Dynomax Magnum Muffler before the Flowmaster. It's actually a resonator not a muffler. I have your same setup and used this to quiet mine down. It sounds really good now.

Thanks, I guess being 2.5" now instead of 2.25" doesn't help much either If its to the point where it's annoying, or illegal, I'll just switch out the muffler. I'm too big of a hippie i guess to get rid of the cat and put a muffler in it's place.

+1

i put the dynomax bullet in place of the cat because i'd already had experiences with a way-too-loud n/a no-cat exhaust.

dynomax bullet FTW

Flowmaster 50 series is what I would have recommended... it's a lot quieter than the 40... but the same nice rumble

btw, if you want to keep the cat, you can put a dynomax bullet resonator right after the cat. It will also quiet it down.

I am still searching for the right tip to put on my exhaust, so as of now there isnt one. Could a resonator tip quiet it down?
