Yep. Needs extra $500 pump though and likes to leak. I'll try to avoid that setup.

Little bit of angle grinder song and it looks a bit better.

can't help with the measurement but you might be able to use just the M/C off that 964 unit (which looks like the M/C from 80s Golf), it's about half the length of the 944 M/C and available in different bore sizes.

Good catch, had no idea it looks identical to golf cyl and probably this one is big bore already, I'll try that. This reservoir also looks pretty compact.

Thanks but they are not mine. I have all it takes to weld aluminum but no experience and trying not to buy all available 44 ebay manifolds.. Welding is done by local guy that welds at Akrapović for the last ~15 years and has a side welding business at home. He invited me to come and learn fine welding details at his shop for free and I might take that offer..

Not a direct fit, 944 push pin is too long.

Is there any writeup about these booster/cyl compatibility details?

No, just my junkyard hunting over the years.
IIRC a 20mm spacer between MC and booster should make it fit (extend the studs or mount the MC offset)

If it helps at all heres a shot of a 968. Maybe the same? Mine is closer than your pic. Harder to measure with all the firewall stuff in place but I got about 78 mm from the slightly depressed bit of the firewall below the upper flat surface to which the clips attach, that is at cam cover level when a rule is laid on it. Looks less than in your pic,

Steve

Finally got some time off everything else so I'm now again allowed to invest about 1% of my time to this garage space waster.

Rebuilt steering rack last weekend, tore in and mostly cleaned CV joints this weekend, finally found original 993TT big red fronts and bought a set of 1000cc Injector dynamic ev14 injectors.
