i talked to the guy parting it out. He said he owned is for a long time & that he did lose control in the wet & slid backwards into a telephone pole.

That's why I always say, If you gotta telephone pole following you, DON'T stop short -- the brakes on a Porsche 944 are far more superior than those found on an average telephone phone -- stop short, and he will most likely wad up your back end. <-- EVERY 944 owner should heed this advise...

If thats a '86 Turbo, the car was on Pelican for a few months. I believe it was owned by a guy around PA. He said he was bringing it to Hershey to try and find someone to buy it. Funny thing is he said the car ran and drove perfectly fine.
