Default stub axle anyone?

I just broke another one shifting to third in the turbo. It takes the early style due to my lsd rear. Thanks!

That sucks, but it's pretty badass at the same time.

The only car I've seen that happen to in person is a 69 corvette with too much power.

Look for a local drive line shop, there is a good one here who is building me new cv joints. They really know their stuff and the make lot's of custom products. See if you can find a stronger product over the stock perhaps at a local manufacturing shop?

I domy own cv's but as for the stub I think I'm gonna a pair cryoed. as well as polishing and radiusing all the edges of another pair cv's I have plenty spares! I thought about radiusing the edge of the splines on the stubs where the splines start thats where they've always broke on me.

i have a set of stub axels from an early car if you need them....they had bad bearings, so you let me know if you want to chance them being good, or i can take them to work and mic them for you.

Welcome to the club.

Fyi, ABS (late) and non ABS (85.5+) stubs are interchangeable.

I've gone through two hub/stubs. Call Parts Haven in California. They sell them for $75 each (hub and stub). I now carry them in the race trailer as spares. Don't forget the rear wheel bearing.

Will 924 stubs work? I have a 4 speed 924 trans that is just sitting around doing nothing, everything else is the same as the 5 speed box just lacks the 5th gear.
