In the initial stages of modeling. Have no idea how much longer it will take...depends on how long I can stay focused on it.
When it's done, I'll gladly make it available to anyone who wants it. I can output to any format.

haha i've been designing this year's FSAE racecar frame for my Uni. Solidworks is pretty awesome.
I've been wanting to make up a 944 model but haven't gotten around to it. You should include the engine and stuff so you can make it a cutaway model. That would be sweet.

As for the engine, I've been giving that a lot of thought. This particular model is not going to be 100% accurate. I could mock up an engine easily enough, but I'm seriously considering reverse engineering engine components. I thinke there are many people who could benefit from having an accurate 3D model for engine components that are hard to find or expensive to fabricate due to the lack of accurate data. As I said though, it's just a pipe dream considering my short attention span...
I can output to stl, which you can read in directly. However, believe it or not a better method for getting it into Max is to go through AutoCAD first. If you have AutoCAD, I can output to ACIS. You can read that into AutoCAD then save it out as DWG (I may be able to do this for you I'll have to see what I have software wise). This maintains the models as discreet bodies rather than a faceted face as in .stl.
At the moment the model is all surfaces. My goal is to get this into a solid body as those are easier to work with.
