Default convert manual sunroof to automatic

is this possible? There's a saratoga top on ebay. Been listed several times. That often indicates a scam or just someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

It's a manual unit. Just wondering if it's possible to convert it.

Just convert your car to manual, probably just as easy and I like the manual setup better.

That being said, you just have to change the latch assemblies, and proably add a tab to hit the microswitch. Microswitch might be the biggest issue, you could bypass it or something probably.

Also, by looking at that sunroof, I don't quite understand how those latches would work in our cars anyway. I'm probably wrong though.

same here. Those just don't look like they'd hook in right.

For anyone wondering about it, here it is.

Actually the manual Saratogas are reported to seal better than the electrics. Unfortunately the seller sounds like a serious flake. I wouldn't buy from anyone with an 88 feedback rating.

yeah, this is the 3rd or 4th time the thing's been listed. Keeps popping up in my saved searches

No plan on bidding, just curious about converting in the event another manual one shows up.

Yes, that would be possible, but there is a problem. The auto latches slide into a mechanism on the back of the sunroof. You would have to have that made for the Saratoga roof since I don't believe they made one for the auto roof cars. I'm sure you could have that piece machined though.

It's a lot easier to convert it the other way. I did the manual sunroof conversion, and I believe all you'd need to do to mount that one is take off the automatic sunroof arms. I did that and left the rest of the bracket when I converted mine and it works great.

Horrible feedback. Nice looking roof though. Its got the black tint rather then brown.
