Default 1987 Porsche 924S carpet, and rims.

Hey, I have a 1987 Porsche 924S that will be in a car show in a month or two, and the only things that I have left, is the trunk carpet, and the seats. Porsche told me that the color of the carpet is Light Grey, but I'm not sure it is, but if it is, does anybuddy know where I can get the trunk carpet with the right color. I have pictures so you guys can look. Thank you for your help.

That does look like the light grey color that is in my 944.

Unfortunatly I think your best bet for finding carpet that fits correctly is to find some used pieces from a car being parted out.

Second on linen, and since your other carpet pieces are faded quite a bit, the only way to match closely is to get it used.

In order to get a perfect match you'd have to contact Porsche. Some aftermarket remakes do a good job at matching colors. mamotorworks.com and performanceproducts.com along with 9xauto.com sell carpet kits, you just need to find the closest color match.

For interior colors/codes by year check...

Didn't they specifically refer to this color as " '87 Grey/Beige"?

My interior is the same color.

I have a pair of near-mint black seats if you're interested. I know your seats aren't black, but I've seen many interiors with black dash/doors/headliner/seats and linen carpet (like our own 944). I don't know if your car will be judged or anything... just tossing an option out there.

And welcome to RL!

Thanks guys, but were could I get one used? I ask some guy on here for the trunk carpet, he is parting out his 944, and I hope I get it. Porsche told me that the color is "Light Grey" They also told me that the color code was XP. Thanks to Keithr726, I actually think that the color is "Grey Beige." Thanks for the color code. I am still looking online, and if any of you guys could help me, I would very much appreciate it. Thank You. I would buy your seats, but I have to go with the stock look, Thanks anyways.

When I tried to figure out my interior color in 1992, the Porsche dealers near me were pretty useless.

I have a set of linen floor mats that are too "white" for the interior.

I wonder if you can get someone to recover the seats in matching vinyl, but somehow steam-clean out the stains on the porsche script center cloth. This is the approach I was going to take when redoing my seats.

Yea, I am getting my seats recovered, and I am hoping that the cloth material will just clean up. I am thinking of just getting the side, that is usualy vinyle, into leather, more Porsche feeling. I found a trunk mat on SpecialPalce.com. It wont replace the carpet, but it will cover the faded and worn out carpet. If Linen is to whtie, do you think Parchment would be better? To view the color, go to this site, http://www.lloydmats.com/ultimat_colorsbeige_tans.htm. Thanks agian.

I had always thought that the center porsche-script lettering would clean up (maybe with steam cleaning) if the cloth were totally off the seat. Please let us know how this turns out.

I have the trunk carpet out of xsboost90's old 924s. Took a long time to find one in good condition.

I honestly don't think any of these colors are a good match. It looks like they have more colors, but not any that really help you out. Seems like you already have tried out what lots of other folks have done, go with black floor mats with tan lettering instead.

I'll get to my seats as soon as possible, then I'll take before and after pictures for you guys. I hope they clean up, and if they can't, I'll just have to get the seats, and rear seats in leather. Well, I'm hoping I get the used ones from that guy, if not, do you think I could recarpet the whole car with a slightly different color? I was on Woulduph.com, and I could recarpet the whole car with the color, they call Grey-Beige.
