Default Suggestions on rear tires

I have 225/60-15 Falken ZE512s on my rears right now and they are wearing down. It's kind of shocking as I haven't driven even 10,000 miles since mounting.

I will be replacing them soon and was wondering what types of tire you would recommend that come in my size. I would have loved a Nitto Invo but they don't make 15s.

This is for a daily-driven street NA. The only limitation I have is being quiet but under $75 apiece.

Thanks in advance.

Fuzions? Never tried them but they sound good and are cheap.

Ditto on the Fuzion ZRi., don't get the HRi They make them in a few 15 sizes. Excellent dry grip, wear, noise level, and they are truly great in the rain to boot. I have them on 3 cars I was so impressed from the first set. They aren't the ultimate tire but they are very good and within your price range to boot. There are many other good tires that folks have used including me so I'm sure you'll hear some more suggestions.

How wide are your rear rims? 225/60/15 sounds tall to me, in fact, they are roughly 25.5" tall. I had been thinking about going with 265/50/15 on the rear of mine, which are a hair shorter than 225/60/15. I don't know if you would have clearance issues or not, but if you want wider tires in the back, its something to think about. I think the last I checked they were around $90 each for Donlops from Tirerack.

I have 8" wheels in back.

The rear tires are 60 profile because the fronts are, and the fronts are 60 profile so as to maintain speedo cable accuracy (early car)

Pffft, you don't need a speedo. What size up front anyways?

Bridgestone makes them under the Fuzion line. What they offer in 15" is limted to smaller sizes though.

what did you go with? I'm currently running Fuzion HRi's 215 60 R15 all around ( po choice not mine / new tires can't complain ) and am thinking of adding the 225 60 R15s to the back only. Couple of q's to throw out here..

• how do these look? do they fill out the wheel wells better than 215's?
• is your car lowered any? clearance issues?
• do you have any pics side/rear of the car?
• has this set up affected the nuetral handling on the car any?

tire calc says - Speedometer Difference: 1.872% too slow running the 225 /60's. that is a bonus on my car as the speedo is currently running 5 mph too fast - will bring my speedo reading damn close to parity.

I don't mind the HRi's that much and they seem to be a pretty good bang for the buck. Tire Rack has got them for $47 a piece, Kumhos are $54 and Conti's are $78 in the 225's. I'd rather spend money on 16" rims and new V rubber vs high end rubber for my current 15"s imho

I have the same falkens too. I really like them. I have them on both my cars and on my Chevy Z34 I put about 12,000 and they are still like new.

I'd get them again.

the Fuzion HRi comes in a 225 and would match up with my current Fuzion HRi 215's..what brand tire are you thinking about in the 235? Trust me I go bigger in the width if I didn't have to go smaller on the profile.
