Default More mods/upgrades to my car. (pics)

Hey, as some of you know, I recently bought a borla xr-1 muffler and ractive tip and I just got around to installing it last weekend, so I thought post some pics. Also, just got a clarion head unit from a friend and connected my ipod up to it then wired it through the armrest. Works perfectly. Ill get some pics of my "homemade" roll bar camera mount up as soon as its done.
just thought id share.
-Seb

The tip suits the car perfectly IMO.
And I like what you did with the iPod input, I'll probably do something like that with my blaupunkt when I get the usb adapter, but I think I'll run the plug in one of the switch places right under the radio, like someone else on here did.

Nothing wrong with your computer, you just have to trim the links and remove the junk after .jpg

ah, thats why it wasnt working.
thanks airflite
I was contemplating putting the cord in the cubby, but it is usually filled with my phone and wallet and I dont like leaving my ipod visible when I go to school/work.

After running with open exhaust for about a month or so, I have to say I hate it. I miss the rumble and window rattlng noise of having no muffler. The sound is great for having a muffler, on the bright side, I can finally hear my radio.

Seb...like the tip and Borla...however I'd get the tip welded on and lose the clamp...they rust quickly and will look crappy.

+1 on hiding the ipod cable/plug...looks better in the cubby IMO and not hanging out.

Well done!

Thanx...sounds like the way i may go.
I have by-pass-pipes on my 996 and went back to OE mufflers for inspection....talk about going through withdrawal. A nice sounding exhaust complimented with a SSK is pure bliss.

the tip is welded on, the clamp is actually being used as a hanger because it is stainless as my factory one was rusted.

Well, just finished the camera mount. I think it looks pretty good and nothing short of a sledgehammer will move it. I took 2 exhaust clamps from home depot, 1 piece of 16 gauge steel, 1 tripod camera mount, and a few bolts and demolished drill bits later...
I smoothed out that slight warp in the steel after the pix.

camera mount

mount from window

mount with camera on it (yes, its a tank)

Update: Just got my sparco sprint V seats in and they are great. I took the same drive as I always do just to see how they hold and all I can say is wow. Even with the stock belts, I felt like I was glued to the seat.

Now all thats left is to install the new tranny
