Question no start, does crank

ok so i have an 87 944NA just replaced the clutch after a rubber disks failure. after getting it all back together the car wont start. engine cranks just fine and we have fuel but no spark. cant figure it out on my own any sugestions would be just great.

ok quick update. got the car turned over after messing with the speed and referance sensor. now the question is weather or not the sleave on the reference sensor is supposed to be seated all the way down or not?

It should bottom out on the bracket. The bracket should be adjusted for the correct air gap, not the individual sensors.

Does your tach jump when you crank it? If not, sensors most likely.

ok now adjusting for the correct airgap would be the clarks garage way of putitng a washer on the bottom of the sensor and adjusting the bracket correct? or am i missing somthing, and keep in mind i am not the smartest engineering student out there =)

yes. the washer on the sensor. Also, make sure the BG and DG wires aren't backwards. there should be a sleeve on each sensor saying which wire is which.

well I'm waiting on the bracket for the 2 sensors over the bell housing. but i got it cranked so its seems that it was just a sensor out of place do to a broken holder.

Those brackets do break when you forget to remove them during a clutch job.
