Default Want to tint - how much?

I've been considering getting some tint put onto my windows; currently there is some but it doesn't really do much. I realize that you can't go full-on stealth with a brown car, but I was wondering how much tint I could go with to keep the car looking clean. Also, what color?

Tint would be on the windows and quarter-glass, possibly on the hatch.

The only color that looks good is black, so black tint.

I'd say maybe 35% - not uber dark, but still dark enough to look cool.

I'm getting tint on my guards red / black car and was thinking like 25% on everything. Maybe 30%...

If its aftermarket it should just be a matter of getting an edge and pulling it off like a big sticker.

Local shop in Stanton gave me a quote for $210. He said that its a tuff job to get the hatch perfect, but that he had done 44's before. $40 extra if I wanted him to remove the old tint. He also told me that I should ask for pictures of previous hatch jobs if I decide on going somewhere else. I decided to take the tint off myself and it was just like a big sticker. Very easy. Then my brother in law gave me some spray he uses at work and it took the adhesive off w/no prob. Not sure if this is how you spell it or if it is a word or abreviation but he called it D and H'r (D-N-H-rrr) lol. Hope that helps

Is that a quote for the rear sides and the hatch? My 951 had a hatch replace by the previous owner and he never tinted the new one so my sides are still tinted (purpleish eww).

Those pictures were taken before we got the rear spolier painted..it looks much cleaner now, but the window tint is worth it. It especially keeps the car cooler, if it's left out in the sun. In those pictures, the difference looks huge between the rear windows and the front ones, color wise But it really isn't that bad. Just make sure who ever you get your tinting done by, they give you a lifetime warrenty. I guess the hatch makes 944's one of the hardest cars to tint.

Heres a pic of the car in the garage, with tint, and the bottom painted.

If i remember right, it was around 75$ a window...

944 crazy-

Your car looks really good with the tint on it. How dark are you front windows, and then your rear? The difference does look huge, as if the front is like 35% and the back is 20%. Whatever I get, I'm going the same darkness around, as I will probably get 25 or 30% (just because I don't like different tint levels on bright cars. Good for dark cars IMO)
